Dr. Raymond P. Briggs is currently the principal partner of Briggs and Associates, an academic and applied consulting company, and an active professor at American Heritage University. Dr. Raymond P. Briggs has a Ph. D. in experimental psychology from Cornell University, has numerous publications and significant experience instructing students at the undergraduate and Masters Level. He has taught large classes up to 350 students, small classes down to individual tutoring, face to face, online, and in mixed modes. He has taught undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral business students, and developed online commercial courses. He has taught in the United States and abroad. At the California State level, he carried out a project for POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) to determine work-related vision standards for state patrol officers and examined the special job needs for state call centers for PORAC (Peace Officer Research Association of California).
At the University level, he has been a professor of Safety and Systems Science at the University of Southern California, and taught in Business programs at California Intercontinental University (CALU) and the University of Phoenix—where he specialized in business statistics. He has helped doctoral students design and carry out doctoral dissertation research projects both as a doctoral committee member and as an external consultant for many universities—especially at Argosy University. He has been an active participant and partial designer of major multiyear projects at the National Academy of Sciences, State of California POST, United States Navy Aeromedical research laboratory, and the University of Southern California Doheny Eye Institute. He co-authored a popular book, Killing Time, on the O.J. Simpson murders. His most recent publications at American Heritage University have focused on clinical trials for new technology medical devices.
